Hi,
    have had a road block for a few years so hoping I might have some luck pushing past it by posting here.

Looking for birth / baptismal information for Annie Davison who I believe was born around 1840.

I have the following information from her wedding certificate.

but have been unable to push back any further to get her exact birth date, mothers name or any further details about her father Thomas.

On her gravestone in Australia it says she was from Ballymena.

I have been able to get some good information on her brother Horatio but again don't seem to be able to push further back. He was born about 1839 and died 28 Nov 1910.

Any help breaking through this wall is greatly appreciated.

Did her Australian death record name her mum at all?

Ewarts Row consisted of 66 houses occupied by the workers in Wm Ewart & Sons', mill and weaving factory, so fits well with her father's occupation as a Warper.

Unfortunately her death certificate did not record her mother.

Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church which in the case of Annie’s marriage in 1864 was Church of Ireland. So she may have been that denomination. (And I note Horatio in the 1901 census was COI).

If you think she came from Ballymena then her birth is too early for statutory birth registration (which only started in 1864) so you need to search for her baptism instead. Ballymena is in the parish of Kirkinriola. Their COI baptisms cover the years 1815 – 1895 without a break. So if that’s where she was baptised you may find it. The records may not be on-line anywhere, in which case you would need to get someone to look them up for you in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast.
