Dewar
« on: Tuesday 13 November 18 16:34 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am doing a spot of research for a friend & wondered if anyone had any information on the Dewar family.

The furthest back I have gone is James Dewar b1817c married to Barbara Wilson in 1839 Kilconquhar.

I am looking for information on their parents. Also, the marriage of their son, James Wilson Dewar. I can't find anything, but know he married around about 1878 in Forfar. His wife was Elizabeth, but went by Betsy.

I'd be very grateful for anything!

Many Thanks
Suzanne.

There's a marriage in 1877 at St Peter's area of Dundee between a James W Dewar and Betsy Fraser that looks a possibility

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
