Dating of photo please, possibly James Pugh of Herefordshire, England 1800s

Hi, the label on the photo says Thomas' father. Thomas Pugh is my 2x great grandfather, this is possibly his father, James. I'd love to know when it was taken please to help verify who it could be.

Thanks Carol, I appreciate your thoughts. I think I will have to reconsider who this could be. For it to be James it would have to be earlier.
