Romilly.

Pleased to have been able to help.  Sad that James and Ada lost two sons in WW1  :'(

If you would like to try and contact living folks, you have some unusual surnames in the obits that you can look up in the telephone directory at this link.....

Put just the last name in the person box and the town + Ontario (or other relevant province) in the location box.

Hi Romilly! I just stumbled across this and found it amazing! I am one of the Glass family members. My dad is James Glass, Grandfather is Sidney Glass. Is there any information I can help with? I know my Uncle Ted has been looking into the family lineage for many years!!

Hello Shannon,

Nice to meet you on here.

I have a DNA match to one of the Glass family, who lives in Wales. So do my other paternal relatives who’ve tested. I’ve been trying to find where our link is, and I think it comes via the Kean and Butler families, who married into the Glass’s.

Have any of your family members taken DNA tests do you know?

Best Wishes, Romilly.

Hey Romilly,

That's so cool!! I'm not aware of many that have taken any DNA tests. I know I have wanted to do it for many years! I live in Ontario, Canada, as does most of the relatives that I know of, aside from my Uncle Lawrence who lives in PEI. Sadly though, we are losing family members pretty quickly  :(

Shannon, once you’ve made 3 Posts on here, you can send and receive Private Messages.

These boards aren’t meant for tracing living relatives, and so one has to work forwards from the past...

My reason for doing a DNA test is because I’ve been trying to find my paternal grandfather for many years now. All of my strongest paternal DNA Matches are in Ontario!

Romilly 🙂
