It gets very confusing for anyone following a thread and those contributing, when edits (AKA alterations) are made to a posting some time afterward and without annotation of any kind within that posting.
Specifically Reply #11
I have quoted the original version of the post in Reply#13.
It gets edited.
It then gets referred to as information deleted and re- posted.

Where did the names Pearl Evevlyn come from?

I’m guessing from her marriage:

1929 2683 DAVIS Pearl Evelyn to BADGE Wm Lewis

A 2nd marriage?:

BADGE Evlyn Pearl to TOWNLEY Gordon Ronald 1953 5271

Her mother’s death:

1951 22856 DAVIS Minnie Isabel UNKNOWN Unknown Unknown (Unknown) born Tasmania aged 68

Is there a chance that Henrietta P and Pearl E are sisters?

The other marriage I had posted - now deleted - thinking it was Pearl’s second marriage was actually that of her daughter. It appears she may still be alive, but her husband is deceased.

Sue, there is nothing confusing about what I did.

No one had commented on the idea of a second marriage, so deleting it wasn’t an issue.

I clearly explained why I had removed the marriage, as it is likely she is still alive, and now you have reposted it.

It then gets referred to as information deleted and re- posted.

I did not re-post the marriage.

To anyone that may be confused by any of my postings, I am happy to answer any polite questions you have regarding them.  ;D

Sparret Could you tell me where I can look at the electoral roll for Victoria on
the computer, hoping to see Harry Wincester and Minnie Davis listed in Hamilton.
Thank you RenisonBell.

I wonder who altered the topic from 'family history' to 'I am searching a Minnie Louisa Davis'.  It is Minnie Isabel DAVIS isn't it?

I would appreciate a comment from the OP re the information I have posted re a 1905 birth in Launceston at what is possibly a Salvation Home.

An aside...I don't think that the Minnie in question married WINCHESTER.  There are two Minnie DAVIS birth registrations in Tasmania in that era and one was a few years older than Minnie Isabel.

I have collated further information about Minnie Isabel but will leave it for the moment until the OP responds.

Thank you RenisonBell.

Wasn't Minnie Isabel on the electoral roll, just Minnie.

You seem a tad confuddled RB.  ;D

Cando is correct, you are not searching for Minnie Louisa Davis.

Jamjar thank you for your research, sorry I posted it wrong.
Yes Minnie Isobella Davis was born 22/4/1883 Beaconsfield Tasmania
Parents Richard and Elizabeth Adams, as you posted is correct.

RenisonBell
The electoral roll listings were found on Ancestry by subscription.
They were in the names Minnie WINCHESTER and Harry John Frederick WINCHESTER.
It is likely she was nee DAVIS.
They lived at Gray St Hamilton and their occupations have been given

As I previously stated, I have no reason to conclude this is the same woman, but I noted some similarities of dates, times and places so thought the marriage worth mentioning.

Cando notes another Minnnie DAVIS of Tasmania and there may well be more than just these two ;D

Renison Bell it's probably a good idea to re-name this thread with Minnie's correct middle name.  You should be able to alter it, I think.
