Sue thank you again for your time researching Minnie, amazing what you have discovered,
I am sure the Albert Johnson is same person she lived with in Bendigo.
Going thru some old papers from Pearls son who also was doing the history, then given to me
after his death, I found a photo of a ship called Warramoo dated 1911.
Wondering if Minnie sailed to N Z on that, not sure how you go into shipping records, maybe you
could guide me. The next step would be to find the ad in Bgo paper to place Pearl, but have no
date to search that. With your and others help I am slowly piecing it together
Regards Renisonbell

Hi
If you use the correct spelling for the ship, Warrimoo you can learn about it using google. A trans-Tasman shipping service.

Putting her name in the search box here may bring up something
http://marinersandships.com.au/
I have not had any luck elsewhere.

If you wish to search for the advertisement, this would be the place to look( if it is to be found at all)

Hi,

I cannot find your Minnie Isabella DAVIS in New Zealand.

Here's some of the online places I tried

https://www.archway.archives.govt.nz/
Sorry, Archway has found no mention of minne isabella davis

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers
Your search has returned zero results

I tried several other online resources too, including the search engine here at RChat.

Here's the NZ Resources Board https://www.rootschat.com/forum/new-zealand-resources-offers/

Here is very longshot 8)

An advertisement appeared  few times between May and June 1911 in the Bendigo Advertiser.

"Kind person to board or adopt little girl 5 years . D.I.M. Eaglehawk P. O."

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/89847796

Is  D.I.M. Minnie's initials backwards? ::)

Sue my sincere thanks once again, yes I am sure this will be the ad I had
been trying to find, and of course Minnie was good at name changing initials
would fit. Pearl may have started school aged 6.
Now I need to find where Minnie and Pearl lived after 1905 until 1911
I would like to say how wonderful you are with the research you have done
seems like a detectives work. You have made me very happy. God Bless

Majm thank you for your info regarding the search in N Z for Minnie
I have her brothers Charles Richard Davis born Beaconsfield Tas 21/9 1879
and the other Walter Alexander Davis could be spelt Davies born Beaconsfield
Tas 2/3 1881. They were living in NZ and Minnie was supposed to have gone
after having the baby, wondering if we could find them

Hi Renison,
as requested here are  electoral Roll details for the men of the names you have given as Minnie's brothers in the years 1905/6

However, as mentioned, Minnie does not appear on the NZ Electoral Roll at all, so you cannot make a connection to her being with them in my opinion.

1905/06
DAVIS, Charles Richard.
Progress Junction. West Coast Buller.
Miner

1905/06
DAVIS, Walter Alexander.
Waverley, Patea, Taranaki
Plate Layer

There are other listings for people of the names in other years. (They may or may not be for  the men in question).
