Salvation Home, Maternity Home, Launceston c1900 - 1960
Address - Rock Lynn House was situated at 13 Connaught Place, South Launceston.

Information on birth certificates not always 100% accurate.  Millie for Minnie and Connaught Crescent for Connaught Place.  Information was often given verbally as well.

Had child Pearl Evevlyn  Davis 6/9/1906 in unmarried mothers home Salvation Army ?

thank you renison bell

renison, where did the birth date you have given arise from?
Where did the names Pearl Evevlyn come from?

As mentioned the birth of Henrietta seems likely, especially as the father was Henry.

Where did the names Pearl Evevlyn come from?

I’m guessing from her marriage:

1929 2683 DAVIS Pearl Evelyn to BADGE Wm Lewis

Her mother’s death:

1951 22856 DAVIS Minnie Isabel UNKNOWN Unknown Unknown (Unknown) born Tasmania aged 68

Is there a chance that Henrietta P and Pearl E are sisters?

The date of birth given by the OP is puzzling as Minnie stated in court she had been left without support since 4 Sep 1905 and yet the birth date given in the initial post is 6 Sep the following year.

How many children noted on this certificate?

There is a probate file for a Minnie I DAVIS, who died in 1951, Widow at PROV

https://prov.vic.gov.au/explore-collection/explore-topic/wills-and-probates

If there is a headstone on her grave perhaps her family are named.

Not entirely relevant to the query, but did Minnie marry?

Victoria
WINCHESTER, Harry. born New Zealand
DAVIS Minnie. born Tas.
1907/4166.

This chap died in Portland in 1916 leaving a widow at Hamilton.
Father Henry John WINCHESTER and his birth can be seen in New Zealand.

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/133707718
He is on the Vic Electoral Roll at Hamilton with Minnie to 1915 and is a carpenter.

He is once on E. Roll in NZ with his parents in 1905/1906 using his full name Henry John Frederick and is a carriage builder.

Sue

ADDING- Just saw Cando's post above re the word widow, so I wonder if this marriage is correct or did she use the term widow for reasons of propriety for Pearl.
