It looks like there is a obit for Harry. From the Port Arthur News Chronicle newspaper index,
Crompton, Harry, age 74, August 13, 1953, page 2

There is another mention of a Harry Crompton in those indexes, May 5, 1939, page 17, with the note "Royal Tour Civil Guard". There was a Royal tour in Port Arthur in 1939.

There is a enealogy group in Thunder Bay that meets at the central library, least they used to. They may be able to help you if you contact them.I believe Lakehead University Library may help. If this fella was part of the labour union they may be of some help to you as well. Hope this helps
