Ethel Sophia born 21st October 1886 in Nottingham,parents Walter Bishop on wedding certificate he aged 24 but am not convinced that right,I have him born 1855 in Exeter Stoke Cannon, her Mother Mary Ann Cunningham on wedding certificate she aged 20 they living in Nottingham don’t have any other info on her other than her dad was William Cunningham and a Joiner deceased in 1885.
1891 @ 1901 census Walter only with daughter Ethel lodging with different families no wife,would like info on Mary Cunningham also her parents.
Walter’s Dad was William Bishop and a Blacksmith, can’t find any earlier census .

Your question isn't all that easy to understand!  But I think it boils down to your wanting help in tracing Ethel's parents.

I see that Walter is 29 b Exeter in the 1891 census - occupation "sanitary works": RG12/2687/10/13.

He's "married" in 1891, and "widowed" by 1901 - W Bishop, 41 b Exeter: RG13/3184/175/4 (& probably a boarder, rather than "brother" as indexed on Anc).

So the new information since your previous thread is that you now have the marriage certificate showing Mary Ann as 20 at marriage in 1885, daughter of William Cunningham (deceased), a joiner.  You already know from your 1911 finding that (as in 1891) Walter still claims to be married, so there's no reason to think Mary Ann had died by then other than the 1901 census when he claims to be widowed.

Walter Bishop is 24 at marriage, son of William Bishop, blacksmith - and you say you already have an 1855 birth for him in Devon.

Would like to find out why Mary Ann not on 1891 and 1901 census also anything about her parents.
