OK I see from the marriage of John Weatherby to Mary A Hussey ( Widow ) they were both residing Victoria Place in 1855, this family were there 1851:-

John Wetherby 34 occ Dealer in Fish in Street
Mary A 33
John J 4
George N 2
Ann J or I 8 months
Census ref HO107/1569/347/39

In 1841 census two families in Harlngton Street, Lambeth

John Weatherby 26 occ Huckster
Mary 23
Ann 17
HO107/1061/ 5/39 / 26

James Hussey 30
Ann 30
Nehemiah 15
Joseph 10
Sarah 7
HO107/1061/ 5/27 / 3

PS I see when Nehemiah Hussey occ Chair Maker married Mary Ann 1843, they were both of Harlington Street. ( Original on Ancestry )

The Ann Weatherby on 1841 census marries a Benjamin Clark occ Chair Maker 23rd January 1843 St John the Evangelist, Lambeth
Grooms father William occ Labourer
Brides father Nicholas no occupation
Witnesses John Weatherby & Eleanor Boakes.
PS Nicholas appears to spend 1841/51 in the Workhouse.

:) OK after a bit of a search, the Mary in 1841 could be another sister of John & Ann Weatherby, as this 1851 is the only  one that makes sense for Nehemiah?
1851 census

Nehemins HAPEY 27 occ Chair Maker b Stourbridge
Mary Ann 26 b Lambeth
Mary 4 b Lambeth
Eliza 1 b Lambeth
Residing at White Horse Street, Lambeth
Census ref HO107/1569/355/9

??? The maiden name of the children looks to be Purser?

Really odd as in 1841 Harlington Street is a Sarah Purser 37 and Mary Purser 15?
Census ref HO107/1061/ 5/38 / 25?

Plotted this all out and this is what I think happened - the data seems to support this.

There are TWO Mary Anns in Nehemiah's life. He marries the first (Aguerra/Aquirra) but pretty soon moves in with second (Purser) with whom he has several children. Pretty soon after his death the widow Aguerra remarries to John Weatherby (with whom she already looks to have started a family including my GGGGM Elinor/Eleanor/Ellen) and number two, Purser, now marries Charles Payne.

I am putting a second thread out there as to why Mary Ann Purser has Hussey next to her place of birth in 1861 Census.

Keep the ideas coming please

??? Please do not start a second thread, as in my opinion all can be solved on this one.
If you do please add a link to this thread otherwise their will be duplication of effort?

Hi again, if it was me, I would be searching the outcome of the two Hussey children in 1851, ( reply 19 )
Mary Ann June qtr 1847 Lambeth and Eliza March qrr 1850 Lambeth both mmn Purser?
I have shown a possible Mary Purser aged 15 in 1841 census, Aguirra family none so far.

Oh well find the two Hussey girls then, what proof have you that Mary A Purser married Charles Payne?

The new thread is here https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=803914.msg6620504#msg6620504
and the word in question is Surrey, i.e. the name of the county of birth.

;D Thanks JenB, can you and others locate what happened to the Hussey girls I listed above post 1851?
Keyboard86

Ignore as can see they look to be the Mary A and Eliza PAYNE on the other thread!

The George Payne on 1861 census was registered as George Purser Payne March qtr 1853 East London Union mmn Purser
Charles was registered as Charles Henry Payne Sept qtr 1857 Lambeth mmn Purser
