Bungendore is just up from Queanbeyan, where John's birth was registered.

Agnes Maud came to New Zealand (I guess to be with her sister Frances Maria as she married in NZ 1899)  around 1909 when she met and married Karl Marten Strand (Norwegian immigrant)   You can guess by my surname its a relative by marriage 
Yet still hoping to find confirmation of her birth 1887 NSW

I’ve been looking at the digital image of the Canning and I cannot see Maria’s mother. Her name does not show in ‘Key Name Search’, either.

Where do you have the mother’s death?

If that is Arthur’s military record that I linked to, then his wife was Elizabeth, not Ethel.

So, Susan is in hiding somewhere. 

You’ve left off Thomas Walter born 1895, died 1949.

Just to add, the reason I think it’s the correct military record is that it has a Watson’s Bay address written in red and then crossed out. His father’s death notice in 1918 states he is of Watson’s Bay. The surname wasn’t that common so I doubt it’s a coincidence.

He was married at Manly, as was his brother Robert.
