good evening,
i am trying to locate a Frederick or fred weir on the 1911 census in cootehill . i have him on the census of 1901 as Fredrick weir with his parents . the reason i am helping a a relative trace his military career in ww1. he was in the royal irish fusiliers and his service number was 8532. i know he was in the war from the beginning and he survived the war . his service record did not . i have no idea what  his middle name was. any help in tracing him on the census. he may have been in the fusiliers in 1911 and so he could have been in the united kingdom

If I am understanding this correctly, with the number 8532 he would have joined 1905/6.

His birth does not show a middle name - just Frederick.

1911 shows a Richard Weir 28yrs b Cavan

I can’t  see a corresponding birth for Richard. :-\
