Christian names / birthyears would be helpful.  Exactly when in the 1800’s?  What info do you already have to save duplication?

Alexander Wilson born 1816 in Gamrie and he died in 1886 he married Ann Maconachie

Is this the family in 1861 census address Darfash Gamrie Banffshire ?

Alexander Wilson age 43 born Gamrie ..farmer of 11 acres and shoemaker
Elizabeth Wilson age 43 wife born King Edward Aberdeen
Margaret Wilson age 14 ,Alexander 12.John 10, William 7, Martin 4
All born Gamrie mother Elizabeth Dockar

There is a James Wilson at Darfash Gamrie 1861 with his wife and family There is a marriage on Scotlands People 2/11/1850 Gamrie and Macduff

Working okay with me so far a tree has a death for James Wilson 26 March 1886 Darfash Gamrie wife Ann Maconachie

Scotlands People has a death for a James Wilson 1886 Gamrie age 69 don't see one for an Alexander
Have you  got the names wrong ?

yes it was Alexander - son was James I think

If Alexander was b 1816 as you say above and died in 1886 - where did you get his death details from as there is no death for an Alexander Wilson in 1886 or a marriage between him and Ann Maconachie.  Check SP

You appear to have the names mixed up as suggested by Rosie
