Hi,
I got that information from Alasdair Fraser, who is a descendant of Alexander Fraser and Anna Cameron.

Is that old Alasdair who moved back to Australia?  If so, it would be pretty accurate as he did a lot of research in Edinburgh. He gave me quite a few pieces to photocopy but I can't lay my hands on them at the moment.

Have you followed up the Donald Fraser in Craigsiory* (??) who stood for Alexander at the marriage?  He could be father or brother, etc. ?

Correct, we are talking about the same Alasdair, who shared with me a lot of information.
In the genealogy tree, he in the same generation as my mother inlaw.

He had more information than me as he'd been investigating for longer and spent a considerable time in Edinburgh searching through records.

Did he mention a Donald Fraser in Craigscorrie, Kilmorack? He was standing surety for Alexander at the marriage.

Also, mentioned in one of the papers, is Willy Muir. His mother was a Fraser. He died in the late 1990s. We spent many an hour at Willy's 

 He had a brother but not sure if he's still alive so won't mention him. The next generation of  Muirs are still there.

There's an interesting marriage in Kilmorack in 1678 (difficult to read):
