All I can make out is that it's probably 'Drum__ feeder/seeder'?
Could the last word there be 'seceder', that is, someone who was an adherent of one of the Secession church denominations rather than of the Church of Scotland? The appendix to the Statistical Account of Monedie [sic] says that there was a Seceder church and manse in Logie-Amon, where the minister had a pretty good living and rented a farm. http://stataccscot.edina.ac.uk/static/statacc/dist/viewer/osa-vol3-Appendix_for_Monedie_in_the_county_of_Perth_in_volume_3_of_account_1/
Yes, I believe you're correct Forfarian!.
John (1771) and Fanny's (1780) OPR Baptisms both have the same word there. By the time Alexander comes around in 1784, there is no mention of 'seceder'. However, it appears there was a new minister or clerk at the time as the writing is incredibly different so perhaps it wasn't through as necessary to write down by him. Think you've cracked this one, that word was bothering me for some time.
There is another entry on Fanny's record that has the same word, a Grisel born to William Peddie & Margaret [?] at Tombrandie (writing is to hard to read). So it would make sense for it to be 'seceder'.
I did a spot of googling and and found the second Statistical Account for Perthshire which had some mention of the situation in Logiealmond. It gives a nice background as to why many in the area would've been Seceders. Indeed, their residence of Drummachar is quite a distance from Moneydie Parish Church, approx 5-6 miles.
