Anthony Feeney 1908 - 1978

I am seeking any information on the ancestors and any siblings of Anthony Feeney born 0n 24 August 1908 in West Derby Lancashire to William James Feeney and Ann? Coleman who were married in 1894.  I believe Williams parents to be Patrick Feeney and Elizabeth who may have been born in Ireland but beyond that I am having difficulties.  I have failed to find William and Ann on any census after 1894.  I have the information re Anthony's marriage and descendants but I am struggling with his ancestors. Any help appreciated.

Can you find Anthony in 1911 with parents and/or siblings?

You can check birth registrations for Feeney/Coleman 1894 onwards for possible siblings.

The 1894 marriage for William and Ann should reveal more about their fathers/occupations and witnesses may also be helpful

Plenty to look for there!  I wonder too if the name could be spelled with a Ph at times?  Pheeney as well as Feeney.

I have the information re Anthony's marriage and descendants

What does he put on his marriage - fathers occupation, witnesses, abode, is father marked as deceased

On the marriage of Anthony his father William's occupation is Marine Fireman and be is described as deceased having died in the December quarter 1907.  I can't find another marriage in England of Feeney (or Pheeney) to Coleman so those between 1894 and 1908 are possible but the later 2 are not.  The other possibility is that it is another family from Ireland.  As yet I do not have the marriage certificate off William.  However, I cannot find any sign of William, Ann or Anthony on any census after 1894.The witnesses on Anthony's marriage certificate are Samuel James Edward Quilliam (his wife's maiden name) and Hannah Whittaker so there does not seem to be a clue there.

Are you saying that the date of William’s death is 1907 and shown on the marriage certificate?

No.  On Anthony's birth certificate  has him stated as deceased and by the laws of nature he must have died within 9 months of the birth.  His death entrance is given as 4th qtr 1907 West Derby 8B 288.
