Canterbury Police Gazettes on NZ Archway - Name Index?

The Otago Nominal Index covers the names featured in the Otago Police Gazette (up to 1877), but I'm particularly interested in the Canterbury Police Gazettes which are digitised on Archway. Anyone know if there's a searchable index of the names featured in these Canterbury Gazettes? Archway's Simple Search doesn't cover the Police Gazette entries.

No, I don't believe so. We'd love to see the Police Gazettes on Papers Past for that reason.

Yes, having them on PapersPast would be a terrific solution.

Thanks Minnie for pointing out those Gazettes are also viewable on the Christchurch Library website - much better for viewing as each page of a Volume can be read by just scrolling down (rather than having to wait for each page to individually load as on Archway). Also I can word-search by using my computer's "Find" feature on the Library's version.

Oh, the downside is that Christchurch Library only has the 1869, 1870, & 1871 Volumes online.

I have created a Names index for all of the digitised copies of CPG available via Archway. It's proven to be a bigger project than I'd envisaged but I'm pleased its finally completed. I'd be happy to do a search for you. Cheers, Glenn
