Burial place of Abraham Rowarth 1845-1928.
« on: Saturday 17 November 18 23:03 GMT (UK) »
I’m looking for the burial place of Abraham Rowarth, born Hope 1845 and died aged 83yrs. 6/4/1928. at his daughter’s home in  Newbold Rd. Chesterfield.
Chesterfield Cemetery Department kindly did a search but without any luck. He may have been a member of a Methodist church.
Abraham was married to Hannah Hill Morton 1850-1926, from Bradwell.

Do you know where his wife is buried?  If so he could be with her.

Thank you Milliepede and Daisypetal for replying.
Apparently Abraham farmed at Freebirch Farm between Cutthorpe, Brampton and Baslow. He suffered from senile decay and eventually lived at his daughter’s home where he died. I’ve also tried Spital Cemetery without any luck. I haven’t found where Anna, his wife, is buried but presumably in the Chesterfield area.

Thank you very much jonw65. I enquired some time ago at Old Brampton and I was told none of the family were buried there! This is the closest church to where the family lived at Freebirch Farm. I’ll have to check again. Thank you everyone for your help.
