Edwin John Kelloway born 1848 Newington, London. Died 05 Nov 1920 Capetown Cape SA.
Trying to connect them with Charles Kellaway born 1831 • Hayde, Cornwall son of Charles Kilway
[Charles Kelway Kellaway] born 1805 Phillack, Cornwall. I'm pretty sure there is a connection but as yet I have'nt found it.  Thank you.

Hello solidrock,
What makes you think there might be a connection?

I can see Edwin Lauristone KELLAWAY (plumber, born Newington) married Matilda RICKARD/RICKCORD in 1846 at Newington (and had children Edwin 1847 [your Edwin John], Alfred 1849, Annie 1853). While Charles KELLWAY (engine fitter, born Callington) married Peggy RICHARDS in 1837 in Helston,Cornwall and had quite a number of children - 11 in the 1851 census including the Charles born c1831). Apart from the similarity of names, do you have them together at all?  ???

Btw, There is an article about Edwin Lauristone KELLAWAY's death (accidental drowning) in 1874 at Dover if you're interested.

Thats right trish, Grace Chinn died in 1837 and Charles married Peggy in the same year. I'm sure there's a link to Edwin John Kelloway born 1848 Newington, London somewhere but as yet I just can't find it. ;D

I don't see how there can be a link (unless it's back in the mists of time).   The Cornwall line firmly established there and Edwin's line goes back in Newington to the 1700's.

The link is Cecil Lauriston Kellaway Born: 22 August 1890, Cape Town, South Africa.
and
Florence Ivy Price  Born : 11 Nov 1904 • King's Norton, Worcestershire
They were cousins and Florence kept in regular touch and visited him in the usa.
Florence was the daughter of Henry George Price and Florence  Amy Kellaway, Florence Amy was the daughter of Charles Kellaway born c1831 Cornwall.
Cecil Kellaway was the son of Edwin John Kelloway,(Kellaway)
Edwin John Kelloway  died 05 Nov 1920 Capetown Cape SA.
So there is a link somewhere between the Kellaway's of Cornwall and the Kellaways of Newington and South Africa.

Forget all this it's becoming to complicated.

I can see Florence Ivy (now Gardner) leaving and returning to UK in 1956 - however, what confuses me is that when she arrives in US she gives an address of 22 Homeward Ave., Apt.3, Hamilton, Ontario (which one would assume is the address she was going to) but Cecil Kellaway arrived in the US with his family in 1937, and died 1974, and according to the records he was in Los Angeles, California this whole time.   Why would she give an address in Canada if she was visiting Cecil Kellaway in Los Angeles?

Cecil Kellaway was quite a famous Hollywood actor at the time so I would presume he moved around a bit.
