Iím an a member of ancestors.co.uk but cannot find them, Iím am looking for a Matthew Hutton who married a Martha St. Paull in about 1808 in Sutton.  I am also trying to find any children they had.

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

Hi,

A very warm welcome to RootsChat!

From familysearch:

Mathew Hutton married Martha St Paull in Sutton in Holderness in Yorkshire on 8th June 1808. Link here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N2JD-TZD

A second record gives a date of 6th June 1808, but this is probably the date of the third and final reading of the banns. It also shows that Mathew was aged 28 years (born 1779/80) & that Martha was 25 years old (born 1782/83). Link here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NXZM-C8Q

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David

The marriage can also be seen at FindMyPast - they have the parish name as Sutton on Hull.

It was by licence, so the 6 June date that David found will be the date that was issued.

Matthew and Martha appear to have had children baptised in Sutton in 1809 and 1813, but T&Cs don't allow me to give full details.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson
