looking for information on a possible marriage between Ann Jones and William hughes  1881 jun qtr carnavon they had 2 sons in llandwrog area

FreeBMD for the marriage, Carnarvon 11b 749 June 1881, has four names - William Hughes, Ann Jones, Griffith Jones, Sarah Jones. North Wales BMD indicates that William Hughes married Sarah Jones, Ann Jones married Griffith Jones (both Caernarfon civil marriages).

Caernarvonshire - Evans and Lewis:Llanberis.

Denbighshire - Jenkins:Llandynan, Llantysilio, Cerrigydrudion.
Denbighshire - Jones:Rhos, Ruabon.
Denbighshire - Jones:Henllan

Flintshire - Mathews:Northop

I was about to post the same.

The nearest parish marriage for both names was in 1885 in Llanwnda, although William was 48 and Ann 33.

That marriage appears to be the one between William Hughes of Brynrhydd, Llandwrog, and Sarah Jones of Nantlle. they married at Engedi Chapel, Caernarfon, on the 11th of June 1881. A marriage announcement was published in Llais y Wlad on the 17th of June.
