13th Royal Irish Rifles
« on: Sunday 18 November 18 22:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm looking for photos of 13th Royal Irish Rifles 1914  -1916
as my great uncle was killed 1/07/1916.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
He was lcpl 19762 Joseph Sands.
Thankyou.

Welcome to Rootschat!  There is no central repository of group or individual soldier photos but that is not to say they didn't exist.  It is a question of casting around in as many directions hoping to strike lucky.  Some thoughts:

local newspapers in County Down where the 13th were raised.
The Royal Irish Museum https://www.royal-irish.com/museums/royal-ulster-rifles-museum
The Imperial War Museum
The Combined Irish regiments Association https://www.ciroca.org.uk/home/the-irish-regiments/royal-ulster-rifles/
Ebay memorabilia

Others may have more ideas

Good luck

Do you have whatever records may have survived?

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
