I am wondering if anyone has access to a ship’s passenger list for 1939 ?
John Cook Arrived in Australia onboard the Hindoo 20/4/1839 from Liverpool
Not sure if it was Fremantle .
Any help appreciated

And which John Cook ?   any thoughts as to where born ...   I assume where Liverpool is mentioned, that that's not Liverpool on the Georges River  in New South Wales.

Trove has this from the Perth Gazette mentioning the Hiindoo's arrival in April 1839 and names various passengers (no Cook) and 38 in steerage.

West Australian Genealogical Society may have it but you need to be a member to search.

Sorry 1839 from Liverpool UK ,born Londonderry Ireland 1824 abt. Possibly steerage passenger ,being so young

The only person with the surname COOK on the ship HINDOO was Mr J COOK, and yes he was a steerage passenger.

The WAGS cd with passenger records do not mention places of birth.

This same reference 'Steerage CSR75/44' was alongside each name so the West Australian Genealogical Society must have had the source to produce the cd.
