William Stanley Newbold

Hi all, The above gentleman was born 6.1.1917 in Chesterfield, died 2001. His mmn was Carter. Now my problem starts. Is he the son of John A(Augustine?) Newbold sept q 1888 and Lily Carter who married June q 1911 Coventry, or Thomas Newbold 1877 and Rose Susan Carter who married sept q 1900 in Chesterfield. Thanks

On the WW1 service record for John Augustus Newbold his wife is given as Elizabeth Emily so it looks as he married Elizabeth Emily Taylor in 1911. They are living in Coventry in 1915

I've just looked for him in 1939. No help as he is a patient in the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital.

Does the marriage certificate not give his father's name?
