This witness statement mentions a Robert/Rory O'Moore who worked in the GPO.
Given William B job it is likely your Rory.

Getting a bit confusing there is a death cert of a Robert Moore died 17 Oct 1928 aged 33 but I think it says his father is Joseph

I don't have time to see if there is a Rory death cert as well.

Oh my word! This explains why I have a Rory on the stone and a Robert in the grave. They are one and the same.....and when I can see through the tears I’m shedding, having just realised why my genetic pull to Dublin is so strong, I’ll re-read the account.....to have a first hand account from this gentleman, is to have my great-Uncle and my family put firmly in life and context. I cannot thank you enough. Is there any place I could get a hard copy of this? Oh my goodness.

Dathai can you do your magic with the Glasnevin Trust search.

I think Hilda could be the key to sorting this out.
Her marriage cert would be good to get her father's name.
Is it know where she married?

My Gran was born in 1899 and died on 22/3/1979. She married Walter James Blake who was born in 1897 and died in 1954. Hilda was a Secretary/ Typist, Grandad was an electrician. They lived at 38 O’ Keefes Terrace, Blackpitts. Dublin......not sure where they married. My grandad is buried in Mount Jerome.
