Have you searched for newspaper reports of the court proceedings?

Attachments and other options button still not working.

Yes we've searched many times for more newspaper reports.    Might try name of society rather than names of people involved.

John Baron - Nancy Entwistle marriage -  Blackburn registry office or registrar attended, so perhaps Non-Conformist.
Have you seen the marriage certificate? Was Abel Entwistle named as Nancy's father? If he was dead by 1837 and buried by a Non-Conformist chapel the burial record may not exist/may not be available. Similarly, his and Nancy's baptisms may not be on record.

That's a good point.    No we haven't seen the marriage certificate and it sounds like a very good option.  Thanks Malcolm

Re reply # 10.
Non Conformism was strong in Edgworth area and around Church/Oswaldtwistle/Accrington. Records are patchy. Some which exist were poorly kept. Some chapels experienced disruptions in their history.
