Edward Carvell (fl. 1800)
« on: Tuesday 20 November 18 14:18 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for details of EDWARD CARVELL.

He was apprenticed to FRANCIS BERESFORD of Nottingham, an attorney, in 1764; Edward was Francis's wife's cousin (she was FANNY REYNOLDS, born in Hoggeston, Bucks).

EDWARD was living in 1815, as he is mentioned in FANNY's Will.

I can't find him through general Googling, and it will be a while before I can get to Nottingham to look him up in the Record Office or the University.

An Edward Carvell 76 (bc.1747) was buried 26/2/1823 Hulcote, Bedfordshire

Edward Carvell bp.25/11/1747 Holcot, Bedfordshire tgo Edward and Elizabeth.

This would appear to be the only candidate for 'your' Edward Carvell.

Dear Annette,

Many thanks for this - I have thought the same.

I hope that something connected to Nottingham might emerge; as an attorney he might have left a trail (can't find a Will yet).

I'll keep digging.
