Who is John Frost's Mummy!?
« on: Tuesday 20 November 18 17:28 GMT (UK) »
John Frost b. 1812, Norton Suff
Married Caroline
Caroline died in 1845 in Ashfield, Suff
John remarried in 1845 to Susan Nunn in Stow, Suff

Henry Frost was born to John in 1845 too! I suspect that Caroline was his Mam but I cannot be certain. Can anyone help me find some proof?

THANKS!

FROST, HENRY    mmn   HOCKLEY
GRO Reference: 1845  D Quarter in SUDBURY  Volume 12  Page 437

Is this young Henry?

GRO (free to register) lets you search and will show Mother's Maiden Name - great help to research!

Oh good - yes, GRO has been fantastic for my research.

Particularly interesting when you can see children noted on the 1911 who have died, and you can then find out who they were and when they died.

And recently I did a bit of research on my greatx2 grandmother and found a child, whose birth demonstrated a much earlier liaison with a partner than I had previously thought.....

And I should have added, it's also great for finding seemingly otherwise mysterious maiden names for the mother...
