Looking for any details on a Patrick McCann and family in 1891 living in Glasgow. His wife Mary McCann nee (Hughes) Daughter Maria(Mary) sons Patrick and Henry. Originally from Armagh and Belfast. Any details of ages and address plus occupations would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

Rosie firstly thank you very much for your reply.

This looks very much like them all the names match. But the only problem is the ages for Patrick Snr and Mary his wife their ages are way out. But I have run into this problem so many times before it is unbelievable. They are about 10 years out when they married in Belfast in 1881 they were in their mid 30s as Patrick was born in 1847. Then another record of Patrick's death in 1929 gives his age as 82. Which is on the money for his birth reported by his son Henry 997 Dunbarton Rd Glasgow.

I have tried to find out why so many of the family down through the ages have the wrong age on their records always by about the same margin of nearly 10 years? My great grandfather and grandmother both have death certs out by exactly 10 years even though they died 20 years apart. Just don't get it?
