it's a suburb of Dublin to the south west not far from Harolds cross. It was originally a village.

type Kimmage, Dublin into Google maps to see the area.

it's mentioned in Lewis directory of 1837 in the section for Crumlin, which is nearby

Looking at Griffith's Valuation Kimmage is listed 3 times.
Twice in the Civil Parish of Crumlin and once in the Civil Parish of Rathfarnham.

Looking at the map there looks like two townlands called Kimmage, surprised they are not marked as Upper and Lower. More likely to be one big townland divided in two for convenience.
