William 'Bill' Jeffs

I am trying to trace the DOB and DOD of Bill Jeffs.

Bill played for Whitby and Crook Town FC. and went on the Manage Whitby Town.

There was an article about him in the Northern Echo

I have found a FreeBMD Entry. Can anyone supply his actual DOB:

Now FreeBMD and the actual GRO office record don't go to 2009.

Can anyone give me an idea on Bills date of death please. I would put it in August/September 2009 from the article in the Northern Echo.

I have no idea if it is the right man, but there is a Grant and Will, Probate Newcastle upon Tyne for a William JEFFS who died  28 August 2009.

Death date amended.

 Probate was 19 October 2009

I can't see a year on that - what year was it please?

Exact date of birth will be on the certificate - or on the 1939 register?
