On Jane
19 Jun 1831 • St Andrew, Newcastle Upon tyne, Northumberland
Guildert spelling

I have seen they were "of this Parish" James was a Gardener

Not seen the other one on James Ferguson

I wonder what news Sarah got to say James had died between 1871 & 1881?
Nice her grand kids were with her Peter & Dorothy

Berrington is about 6 miles south of Berwick upon Tweed.
The original image of James' baptism definitely has the parents as Geldred and Sarah Ferguson. Did the vicar make a mistake when writing it?

Ah
James & Sarah Gildert's first born was James 1830 he died aged 18 & I have no baptism for him
So I think you are right the vicar messed up the name as James was the Father & James was the son.....Ferguson was Sarah's maiden name......& James was a gardener

Cheers Boo
Kyloe ok Berrington Seems a great area to be a Gardener in 1830. Unusual to have the patron named Mr Grey
