Patrick & Bridget FAHEY 1871

Patrick( occupation: Shepherd) and Bridget FAHEY with their baby daughter Mary sailed from Gravesend, Kent June 1871 bound for New Zealand arriving Christchurch, New Zealand August 1871.
Shipping record showed they came from Galway, Ireland, Patrick aged 29 years, Bridget 27 years and Mary about 1 year old.  Trying to find parents of Patrick and Bridget.

I cannot see a corresponding civil record

also there is a marriage of Patt FAHY & Bridget JOYCE on Jan 21 1869
This was in St. Nicholas Church East, Galway City
Witnesses are John O'BRYEN & Julia KELLY

Again I can see no corresponding civil records

This couple don't appear to have other children baptised or registered after this time but that is not to say they are definitely your couple. Just one to note!

If the 1875 birth (as shown by wivenhoe) was to the same couple - this birth record could give the mother's maiden name and help tie things together for you.

It is interesting that Joyce appears as a middle name in some of the names listed by wivenhoe
