Welcome to Rootschat

What kind of info are you looking for?

There is a 1901 census entry for an Olive H M Slater born 1884 Jersey.  She was working as a servant in Derbyshire

Marriage 1908 for an Olive Hilgrove M Slater in Uttoxeter to John Henry Foden

Baptism shows birth 4.12.1884 parents William Chatterton Slater and mother Agnes Alcock Slater.  They married 22.12.1883 Grouville Jersey.  He was 25 and she was 26.  His father was Thomas and hers was William

1939 register shows her living in Flintshire

There is a tree on Ancestry for this family which has a son Fred allegedly born in Warwickshire 1889 died 1957.  There is a birth in 1890 for a Fred Slater in Aston mmn Alcock but clearly not same family according to 1891 entry

a possibility (needs more research) is
1861
Sandford St St Mary Lichfield Staffs
Thomas Slater Head M 43 Bricklayer St marys Lichfield
Hannah wife 49
Jane daughter 22 single Dressmaker
Ann daughter S 19
Sam son 15
Sarah daughter 14
Thomas son 12
Emma daughter 9
WILLIAM son 2
children all b Lichfield
RG9 1972 65 15

1871
St Mary Lichfield
Thomas Slater Head M 54 town surveyor of Streets Walsall Staffs
Hannah wife 57 Lichfield
Emma daughter 19 scholar Lichfield
WILLIAM SON 12 Lichfield
RG10 2913 44 3

Although William is entered as son of Thomas and Hannah in 1861/71 I think Hannah was maybe old to be having a child at age 47 (although my Grandmother did) and then I found this
William Jobridge(possible bad transcription) Slater baptised 12 Jun 1859 St Mary Lichfield
Mother Jane Slater

on 1861 census there is a lamb family on same page as Slaters

1871 Jane Slater is working as a serant

at Olive Hilgrove's baptism one of the sponsors was Jane Lamb
Wonder if Jane Slater married a Lamb??

No proof yet

The marriage certificate shows both William and Agnes as being born in Lichfield
