James Guthrie
« on: Sunday 25 November 18 16:51 GMT (UK) »
I believe a James Guthrie (b 14 Dec 1851 Forfar, Angus)  traded as an Iron Merchant in Leather Lane, London during the 1890's.
I would welcome  conformation of this and any further information on his time in London.
Many Thanks,
Geoff

:) Hi having difficulty locating any of this family post 1871, except possibly Margaret with her Widowed sister Isabella in 1881 census?
What lead you to the information that James had premises in Leather Lane, London?

Ignore my previous - place of birth is Southwark! No idea where I got Scotland from  [added: although James' father is from Dundee!]
