Anyone with relatives who served with 4th RMT transport unit in WW2?
« on: Monday 26 November 18 01:14 GMT (UK) »
I am writing up my father's story of service in WW2 for his grandchildren.  He was in 4th RMT transport unit (B Section) that embarked Wellington on the Orion 5 January 1940 and saw service in Egypt and Greece/Crete before being wounded and returned home on the hospital ship Maunganui that disembarked Wellington on 2 October 1941.

I have several photos taken in Egypt and on the hospital ship home that have no names to identify who is with my father.  Sadly I never had the thought to ask him about these when he was alive.

If anyone has a relative who served with 4th RMT in Egypt and Greece/Crete (particularly B Section ex Trentham) or was invalided home on the Maunganui please PM me and I am happy to share these photos and see if it is possible to identify some of these men and women for the benefit of our family histories and help keep the memories.

Regards
Bob
