confused about the marriage of Joseph Halls and rebecca West 1809

Hi,

looking for the marriage of Joseph Halls and Rebecca West in 1809 I came across 3 dates.... ???


2 May 1809 Navestock

20 April 1809 Chigwell

30 April 1809 Chigwell

which one is the correct one ?


I don't know the names of Jospeh's parents


Can anyone explane this to me and maybe tell me which date is the correct one ?

Are you sure you are not confusing the records of the Banns?

The marriage was at St Thomas the Apostle, Navestock, 2 May 1809, the other dates I sure will be banns read at the church of one of them.

I notice their children were baptised at Chigwell. Except for their Eldest John 12 Nov 1809 Loughton, Essex. Maybe

Hi Collin, yes the children were baptised at Chigwell. is that near Navestock ?

There is a gap in the marriage Register of Navestock between 1806 and 1813, so the May marriage date is from the Phillimore transcripts.

In 1851 Rebecca aged 59 is said to have been born in Navestock, there is a baptism  for Rebecca daughter if William and Sarah West  on the 4 May 1788.
