Surname Interest CORBELL

Hi all

I'm researching the name CORBELL in Essex, primarily South Benfleet and Rochford in the 19th Century.  It's not a particularly common name so if anyone comes across it during the course of their research I'd be VERY grateful for any information.  The earliest I have the family so far is in 1881 at Station Road, South Benfleet.  Also, if anyone else is researching this name please get in touch.

   I found one entry for this name:
 Chelmsford Thos. CORBELL 479 CHM Beaumont 33 ESS 1818
 An entry in the 1851 index, long before 1881, so may give you some clues where to search.
   You may find that the Corbett name may be worth  looking at as they may have been wrongly transcribed.
