George Higgins and Jane Paul of Bradford Abbas married 1834

In Bradford Abbas there have been a number of George Higgins from the same family. I believe I have the children of George married to Jane but would welcome an experts opinion.

Mary Ann 1844
James 1847
William 1853-1853
Ellen 1851?
William 1854
Elizabeth 1857-1857?
John 1861
Jane 1858
With such a large family and with some early deaths, I may be missing some others? Also some of the dates may be baptism or census estimates. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have always been pleasantly surprised with the enthusiasm and knowledge and skill of your researchers.

This will give you, hopefully mother's maiden name against each birth, if you don't already know it, assuming they were registered, free to log in and very useful

If you go through the birth registrations on the GRO website you can work them out because it shows mother's maiden name. Except for  Eliza who was born before registration

I have looked for some of them and the mother's maiden name of your family appears to be PAUL. I can't see James  in 1847,  but there is Edward in 1847. I haven’t time to search more of them.

When you search the the name PAUL and the Registration district Sherborne, you will be able to sort them out.

First of all have you looked on http://www.opcdorset.org

According to the baptisms on that site there are the following children baptised to George and Jane in Bradford Abbas

Charles13/9/1840
Mary Ann 4/2/1844
Edward James 12/9/1847
William 23/6/1853 buried 26/6/1853 aged 1 week
Ellen 14/8/1853
William 19/7/1857
Elizabeth Jane 19/7/1857
John 3/2/1861

Icannot see an Eliza in 1835 nor a Jane 1858. Ellen, baptised 1853 was born 1851 according to the Gro site, which has the births of all the above children except George who was born before Registration started. They all have mmn Paul or Paull

I am fortunate the the Bradford Abbas OPC site is excellent as well as other sites. I am baffled by some of the the siblings and any help would be fantastic.

1861 mentions Jane Higgins as a 3 year old, born Bradford Abbas. What happened to her?

1851 mentions James C Higgins born 1848 Bradford Abbas. What happened to him?

Ellen Higgins born 1851 bapt 14/8/53 Bradford Abbas. What happened to her?

John Higgins bapt 3/2/1861 Bradford Abbas. Looks like in 1881 his was at Hatherop, Glos and 1911 High Wycombe. But where else was he, when and whom did he marry, children and when did he die?

Elizabeth Jane. Bapt 19/7/1857 Bradford Abbas. What happened to her?

Mary Higgins bapt 4/2/1844 Bradford Abbas. 1861 census gives her occupation as a leather glove sewer and that is the last time I can find her.

Charles bapt 13/9/1840 poss railway inspector at Stoford in 1871. But I can not find him on further census' or his marriage, children, death etc.

The 1911 census tells you how long he has been married, have you tried looking on freebmd for possible marriages.  I will leave it to you to look as there are not many results to eliminate 

Possible birth registration for the child in 1896 found by using GRO index with surname Higgins and wifes maiden name, the child died age 3

Appears to have middle name George

Have you looked for that birth on GRO index as that should give mothers maiden surname helping to locate her parents marriage
