feelers for Ann Clark/e
« on: Tuesday 27 November 18 18:40 GMT (UK) »
Getting to grips with my Johns family ( I have everything I need on John and 99% of his family apart from specifics asked for help with :) :) )

So details are:

John Clarke born Shenton Leics  1827 etc (have all the relevant details b.m.d.s census'sss marriages etc)  for John and the run down is:

He marries Susan / susannah Lemmon in 1845

they have the following children:  as shown in attachment..

Susan dies in 1865  -  he then marries again in 1866 to Elizabeth Lapworth.

Therefore ANN his daughter by Susan is showing as Daughter of Elizabeth.. this throws the first curve ball.

after this 1871 with Ann and the family   I loose Ann totally and then
The last son of Susan---- Frederick .. which she may well have died giving birth to.

a lot of my Clarkes helped each other with children therefore they often pop up on an Uncles Census or similar.  I have found the Daughter Ada on another census with other members of the family as this.  #She is with my direct line Johns Brother Thomas in the 1871 as servant.

More details to follow asap.. am being interrupted by OH !!! bless him.. will be back

Back

 ::) ;D

right have been attempting to sort Ann for some time now and Ancestry keeps throwing hints that are blind siding me.. and taking me off track.

There is a tree with the family on.. . that has I think gone way off.... and it is such a shame... but of course .. not my problem... apart from the fact that her tree changes the History of my family.. and hers...   ooooooo anyway   people on here I think comprende mucho my feelings xxxxxxx regarding ancestry trees.  Some are well worked and brilliant help and others are so sadly, badly wrong.

Due to the family splitting after the mothers death and the census adding confusion to Anns place of birth .. it is difficult to find her..
There is an Eliza Ann Baptised in Holy Trinity Cov 1864 to a John and SUSAN so could well be..  BUT  I only had her as ANN not Eliza Ann..

it may be Eliza Ann

just checking birth cert pdfs

OK   have ordered that pdf.. just to ensure that she was Eliza Ann Clarke 1862  etc.. so now I just have to find who she married... and if it is Mr Tricket  then all is well with the other ladies tree..

ho hum
Thomas Norton or Peter Holland 1890 it seems maybe

So still Eliza ann or just ann Clarke in the 1881  but she was born in HYDES pasture Hinckley which changed from Warks to Leics or Leics to Warks.. just to create .....arrghs....

OK

received the PDF

she is

Eliza Ann Clarke 5th May 1862 -  Parents John Clarke and Susan Lemmon...

so have been trawling and trawling the 1891  think I have her in the 1881 as a servant.. but named Ann..... not positive it is her.

Cannot find anything after that..   No marriage that fits .. and No 1891   and No DEATH

its all because there are too many alternatives Ann Clark  - Ann Clarke -  Eliza Clarke - Eliza Ann Clarke/

Hydes pasture moves borders.. so is she Leicester or Warwickshire in the Census..

Mr Holland and Mr Norton marriages dont seem to fit...

in the 'Ether' ????

Yes   there definitely doesnt seem to be a marriage.. I have been looking everywhere, with all sorts of variations....

so something is wrong.

still searching :)

I had hoped Adas baptism would mention her mothers surname... but no.. so more expense to get that sorted.

I see it mentions Clarke   so I am just going to send for it.  Thanks Willsy
