Medieval London's murder hotspots revealed
« on: Wednesday 28 November 18 11:13 GMT (UK) »
i thought this would be of interest.  (I often wonder how my East London ancestors felt, living in the centre of Jack the Ripper's activities in the 1880s.)

"...another was beaten to death for littering with eel skins..."

How many times did he have to hit him with those eels skins, do you think?

This is really interesting. I would like to have a closer look.

I may have missed it, but is there a way to view the map up close to see the detail?

avm, I'm with you on old maps. They are fascinating!

I can see your house!  Do you have an alibi for that night?

Thanks for the link. I will (try to) check that out.

Um. No you can't see my house Martin!

(I think at that time in Medieval London Terra Australis Nondum Cognita was still an enigma.)  :)

My house doesn’t feature (unsurprisingly), but my workplace does - it’s even the site of a double murder :o
