Does river road Carmyle   feature on any documents

I need to go back and look over all my documents but I'm hopeful that  Ann will be connected to Malcolm Macdermid and Mary Mckay who had 10 children in Cambuslang

I do have DNA distant l to people with the surnames Mair on the trees but nothing to join dots

The name Adam Mair goes back many generations and each one has lots of children so can you be  sure thone war records are not from.one of his cousins

Happy searching anyway .

I can see just the one.
Pte. 2695 7/HLI. As this was a TF Batt. he was given a 6 digit no. in Jan. 1917 which was 280753.
His 15 Star Roll gives a disembarkation date of 2/7/15 Theatre 2B = Gallipoli.
The LLT says this:
1/7th (Blythswood) Battalion
August 1914 : at Bridgeton, Glasgow. Record same as 1/5th Bn.

1/5th (City of Glasgow) Battalion
August 1914 : at Garnethill, Glasgow. Part of HLI Brigade in Lowland Division. Moved on mobilisation to Dunfermline.
11 May 1915 : formation became 157th Brigade in 52nd (Lowland) Division.
26 May 1915 : sailed from Devonport for Gallipoli, going via Egypt (5-28 June) and Mudros (1 July), landing at Cape Helles on 3 July.
8 January 1916 : evacuated from Gallipoli to Mudros and arrived Egypt in February.
11 April 1918 : Division left Egypt, battalion arrived Marseilles 17 April for service on Western Front.

I'm not sure how big an area Burn banks was but I'm told it borders 2 other places Shotts and ...?

My Macdermid grandparents address was noted as Burn Butts on some documents is that the same place ?

I have a pic of the 1800 cottage that used to flood when the river Burn overflowed

BTW Finding.   What did you think about the idea that our fa miles may be related

Do you think MUIR     were a separate family  MAIR

And what do you know about your grandma Annie?  Her death certificate would give her parents names
.husbands occupation and Wether or no tthey were pre deceased

Also the place where died and address at death can be vital clues to link families

* Are thete any addresses of next of kin on.the military records

Sorry for bombarding you with questions if you are only interested in his military history

But somehow I feel you may provide link to my  unmarried great  great grandma Margaret  LOVE and her daughter Maggie LOVE MUIR    who only used Muir surname on.1 document
