Henry Richard Bell bapt. 25 July 1830 Bishopwearmouth
« on: Wednesday 28 November 18 16:50 GMT (UK) »
Can't anyone help with finding this person after his baptism?
I wonder did he die as an infant but can't a death registration for him.
Parents were John Bell and Jane Bell.  He had siblings John b. 1817; Robert b. 1819, Mary Jane b. 1822.

No death registrations until 1.7.1837.  Parish records/burial records up to then

Presume he is not with parents on the 1841 census?

Durham records online have his baptism, father's occupation was turner, looks like they also had a older daughter Eleanor. The address on both baptisms was Hopper Street

Given that, this looks possible to be them in 1841?

That's the Census  I was just about to post - John's profession is "Timber Merchant"?

By 1851 John who was in 1841 noted as Timber Merchant is now a Gardener Master employing 2 men, Their son John has returned, a Wood Turner and I assume Eleanor has married but no Henry. He may still be in the County several Henry Bells born around that time but no census giving his exact place of birth but there are death registrations in the County.

1851   Age
John Bell    60
Jane Bell    53
John Bell    34
Mary Jane Bell    30
Eleanor Brandt    24
Charles J Brandt    2 Mo

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Would the parish records be on line through Familysearch?
I would look for a death prior to 1837.
Many thanks.

Feel so stupid. Grrr - just had my head somewhere else at the time of posting.
Yes, of course he was with parents in 1841 census and also with sister Eleanor.
So I will continue to look for a death after 1841 when he appears with father John and mother Jane and sister Eleanor.
