How does the name Spraggon fit In?

I think the Elizabeth Irwin who married William could well be the daughter of a Spraggon Irwin.

The 1811 census has a Spraggon Irwin and family living in Walker. Among his children is a 3 year old Elizabeth Irwin, born Walker. RG 11 / 5085 / 70 / 27

Ah fabulous!! Thank you, this will be where the name Spraggon comes in!  ;D

But would this not make her too old as going of census with William she was born approx 1877?

The census I quoted should, of course, read 1881  :-[

As far as I can see all of the children you've mentioned have mothers maiden name Irwin.

Yes, I’ve now found Florence birth record which states Irwin.
