This 1841 Census record must be there?
« on: Thursday 29 November 18 10:43 GMT (UK) »
I have found the record of Willm Light in the 1841 Census record of Chertsey, Surrey, on FamilySearch. This website directs me to findmypast, and I was intending to take out a brief subscription to buy the original image from there. However, I can find no record on that site.

FamilySearch gives the census ref: HO107/1074/47/15.

I have tried to search on findmypast for this but drawn a blank - maybe I’m being dim (entirely possible!).

I’d be very grateful if anyone could help, possibly by locating an entry on an adjacent page using a different website? If the entry is not on findmypast but on another website, I’ll subscribe there instead.

Dave :)

How old is Willm?

1841 record on ancestry has a William Light age 3 born Surrey if that's him  :)

If you need the rest of the family - there are a lot - will list them.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Was William born in 1838, son of Joseph?
If so the reference is HO107/1074/8/52.

Thanks. The William I am interested in was baptised in Chertsey in 1820 and according to the 1841 Census was in Chertsey at Abby House, with what looks like several siblings. I tried using the FamilySearch census number on findmypast but didn’t get anything.

FamilySearch gives the census ref: HO107/1074/47/15.

The reference number on Family Search is incorrect, as it is missing the book number.

The correct reference is HO 107 / 1074 / 7/ 47 / 15

I have just checked this on FindMyPast using only this reference, and it takes you to the correct page.

Many thanks. I did actually just find it when I searched on findmypast under Thomas Light who appears in the FamilySearch record (as Thos) below William. I wonder why William himself isn’t indexed on findmypast?
