Hamstreet casualties

Hi Rootschatters.
Can someone please help?
A friend has requested help regarding the casualties connected to Hamstreet (in the parish of Orlestone) in Kent. Two names have come up about which I can find no information. One is Edward William John Foster, died 24th April 1918, and mentioned on the Kentfallen website, and the other is C. Paine (nothing else known). Basically, I am looking to confirm or deny that either of these two had some village or parish connection.

There is a Charles Paine b 1883 Hamstreet , living in Folkestone in 1911 :

Hello again Rootschatters.
Thank you all who have replied to my post.
Having studied the replies, I am pleased that it shows that Charles Paine was definitely born in Hamstreet.
However, Edward William John Foster poses a problem. His parents are given as living at Bromley Green, which is not part of Orlestone but in a neighbouring parish. I suspect that Edward’s parents moved to Bromley Green late in the war, or even after his death. They would, understandably, have wanted his name to appear on a memorial somewhere, which it does on the Memorial in what was then the Chapel in Hamstreet, now a shared church. They may have attended this chapel (unconfirmed) but, as I say, Bromley Green itself is not in Orlestone. Without more information, his Hamstreet connection has to remain open. Perhaps more will yet come to light.

I found a cousin of my GGF on the first in Lancashire. Someone researching names on the war memorial at the college in Leeds which he'd attended has added information to his name on the second website. Much of the information was new to me.
I'd previously found his brother, cousin and my GF on Lives of the First World War.
Two other soldiers I'm researching through A Street Near You and Lives of the First World War are also on Commemorating the Missing website for those with no known graves.

Now you have Edward’s parents you could track them back in the census. It may be as you say, that the parents just wanted a memorial local to them at the time.
