St Margarets House Clewer Berkshire
« on: Saturday 01 December 18 11:43 GMT (UK) »
My 1901 searches have lead me to St Margarets House, Clewer Rd, Clewer, Berkshire.  My ancestor aged 15 is a boarder the house which appears to have links with the " Sisters of Mercy".
Please can anyone tell me the role of the house in 1901 and why my ancestor was there?

Also known as the Clewer Sisters.  My great-aunt was a member at the convent in Clewer.

When searching, you will need to bear in mind that this is an Anglican (or Church of England) order of nuns, not Roman Catholic.
