John & Ann Williams (nee Evans)
« on: Saturday 01 December 18 18:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi ,
looking for deaths of John Williams & wife Ann (Evans).
They were Married  in Conway  1873 his occupation was a painter  ( his father was Thomas Williams) I have copy of certificate.
They had a son  George Osborne Edwin (b) 1871 and a daughter Ann Jane (b) 1876 also in Conway.
However it looks as if the parents John & Ann  must have died ??? as in 1881 cencus, the kids now  aged 8 & 5 are living with an uncle .
I have the information on George ect when he got married and died ....and cencus after.
just wondered what happened to John & Ann in such a short time ?

thanks
Snowolf

Any deaths will be on freebmd - have you looked?  No birthyears included in your post so with a surname like Williams ..........

The fact the children were with relatives in 1881 does not necessarily mean both parents had died - perhaps just Ann died.  Was George born before they married?  You say he was b 1871 but the marriage was 1873

You don’t say whether you have looked for John & Ann in 1881 or 1891 in case the children were just visiting relatives in 1881
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

hello Carole,
thankyou for your reply ,
The kids were with the uncle in 1881 & 1891 Census.
yes ! it appears George was born before marriage.
but a bit good news !!....i looked up the freebdm you mentioned and found John & his mother ect in 1871,although cant find him in 1861,but  its still something to go on

thanks ,
