Are you sure about John James 1804?  I can see such a person baptised 29 July 1804 at St Mary, Lambeth, but his parents are John & Eleanor.

,john James, has caused me a lot of grief as well! It maybe a misspriñt in the baptism records as in all census were I can find him(including ones where he has Marys children with him, listing himself as their uncle)he is written down as john Joseph and is consistently john Joseph till his death . Mary married Napoleon James bolt

The 1841 census can be somewhat ambiguous.  There is a tick for Joseph in the end column for born Scotland Ireland Foreign parts.

Looking at adjacent pages it looks as though the enumerator was just using the Scotland/Ireland column to tick any people who were not born in Surrey, so he could have been born anywhere.

Perhaps it should read Joseph Collett.
Doesn't seem to be a Joseph Callett around, plenty of Collett activity in Lambeth.
