Nationality please of this man Beja BUNSEEDHUN. 22Feb 1929-27 Sep 1983 Trafford.
Possibly South African?

Are his fore and surnames familiar to anyone?

Various spellings but the children seem mostly to be BUNSEEDHUN.

Beja married MAR 1958 Manchester district to Jeanne E.T. MUSCHETTE. She was born abt. 1934  a student nurse passenger from Jamaica in 1954. [Death unknown]. Six children born in the Manchester/Bucklow area.

Nothing comes up for the origins of surname "BUNSEEDHUN", but apparently the given name "BEJA" is of Portugese origin.  In case it's of interest to you, I searched for the places where the Portugese had settled:-

"In the 1500s, Portugal colonized the present-day west African country of Guinea-Bissau and the two southern African countries of Angola and Mozambique. The Portuguese enslaved many people from these countries and sent them to the New World. Gold and diamonds were also extracted from these colonies."

I got a hit for the origins of the surname MUSCHETTE, which is shown on the link below:-

His wife appears to be still living, or at least appears in very recent records - if so you will need to redact her details.

Surely there must be some oral history in the family as to where Beja came from?

From following the cricket, I find that Portuguese names often turn up in Sri Lanka - Silva or de Silva, Perera, Dias, Mascarenhas etc. They also owned a bit of India - Goa. This fits Bunseedhun sounding a bit South Asian.

Many thanks for all these very useful pointers.
I will see if I can contact living family via Facebook to hear any ancestors' stories.
